Becky’s Warriors Golf Outing – July 11th at Ruffled Feathers!
Our annual Becky’s Warriors Golf Outing is set for Friday, July 11th at the beautiful Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont. It’s a day filled with great golf, fun people, and all for an honorable cause. Whether you're “throwing darts” on the Par 3’s or a Shankopotomus, your participation helps support families impacted by cancer right here in our community.
Three of our sponsorship levels are sold out, but we still have plenty of options. We could specifically use more hole and table sponsors. Click here to view sponsorships.
For example, consider being a beverage cart sponsor as you see pictured below! Golfers get mighty thirsty while they play 18 holes. Make sure they know about YOUR business while they order!

Get your foursome together, secure your sponsorship and be ready for raffles, prizes, and plenty of laughs.
Registration is now open.
We can’t wait to see you on the course!
Becky’s Warriors Honored at Veritas Gala

Becky’s Warriors was recently honored at the Veritas Gala, Marian Catholic High School’s premier annual fundraiser. The event supports the Sister Simeon Fund, which provides need-based tuition assistance to over 100 students each year. Held on April 11 at Idlewild Country Club, the 2025 Veritas IX Gala was the most successful yet—raising more than $200,000 for student scholarships.
Becky’s Warriors was honored as the recipient of the Spirit of Marian Award. This is typically awarded to an individual that exemplifies the values of Marian. This was the first time that a group, rather than an individual, was chosen as the recipient and we could not have been more humbled.
Additionally, we announced the creation of the Becky’s Warriors Endowment Scholarship, continuing our partnership with Marian. This new scholarship will support any MCHS student experiencing a cancer diagnosis within their household—whether affecting the student directly or a family member. The goal: provide stability and relieve financial stress during an incredibly difficult time.
This meaningful step is only possible because of YOU. Your donations, sponsorships, and participation in our events directly impact the lives of Marian Catholic students.
Thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission.
And Finally…a little “Did You Know” via ChatGPT

Memorial Day, observed on the last Monday of May, is a time to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the U.S. military. Its origins date back to the aftermath of the Civil War, when communities began holding tributes to fallen soldiers by decorating graves with flowers and offering prayers.
Originally known as Decoration Day, it was officially proclaimed in 1868 by General John A. Logan, a Union veteran, with May 30 chosen as the date because it wasn’t tied to any specific battle.
Over time, the observance expanded to include those who died in all American wars, and the name “Memorial Day” became more widely used after World War II. In 1971, it was declared a federal holiday and moved to the last Monday in May.
Today, Americans mark the occasion with parades, cemetery visits, and a national moment of remembrance at 3:00 p.m. local time, all in recognition of the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to the country.
